First of all, I’m reading a book at the moment entitled “Sophie’s World” by Jostein Gaarder. It’s fantastic, it really is. If you’re not into heavy philosophy but you enjoy reading of it then this book is perfect.
I’m only half way through but by what I’ve read so far i can tell you that it just touched on so many aspects of life and just makes you think. I think a book like that every now and again is great.
The book’s about a fourteen year old girl (It’s not really a coming of age book it’s more a kid who has already found herself but has a growing interest in philosophy) and she receives letters almost every day by an anonymous teacher.
After watching a person read and ask questions of philosophy and make her own assumptions about different things, I’ve come to a startling conclusion: Is philosophy worth it? Or is it just a route of many roads leading from nowhere to nothing?
Think about it :)
P.S to all my followers all five of you :), I'm working on a killer post that i will post on boxing day, until then I hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy yourselves.
(I could probably go on about how I think Christmas as not a religious time but more a time of bring people together BUT I won't bore you with those details)
